That’s what — used to say and this simple recipe has remained a reliable natural helper to this day.
Why is nettle worth using?
For some it’s just a stinging plant, but in reality, nettle is one of the most valuable medicinal plants which we easily find in nature.
Used correctly, it can support:

Applied in the form of a tincture or maceration, nettle can help:

Calming joint and muscle pain
Rheumatism relief

How to pick nettle correctly?
For maximum efficiency:
- choose clean, unpolluted areas
- pick the plant before flowering
- just use young peaks (richest in active substances)
Tip: wear gloves — leaves are nettle.
Recipe – Nettle in alcohol (for external use)
Ingredients:
- fresh nettle
- vodka or alcohol (approx. 40%)
- one glass container (≈300 ml)
Method of preparation:
- Fill the container in proportion to 3/4 with fresh nettle
- Add alcohol to full coverage
- Close the container and let it soak 4 days
- Mix daily (ideally with a wooden spoon)
- Strain the liquid through the gauze
How is it used?
For hair:
- massage the scalp once every 2 days, for 2 weeks
- for maintenance: apply after each wash
Help to strengthening the hair and reducing the fall
For joint pain:
- apply to the affected areas (knees, wrists)
- ideal in the evening, before going to bed
It can reduce discomfort and inflammation
For varicose veins:
- apply gently to the skin with a cotton pad
Nettle tincture (internal use)
Preparation:
- Dry the leaves in a dark place
- Fill a jar with dry leaves
- Pour alcohol (40%) until you cover them completely
- Leave to macerate 6–8 weeks (cool dark place)
- Strain and store in dark glass
