Last night, my girlfriend was washing her hair like normal when she suddenly froze and shouted my name from the bathroom. I walked in thinking maybe she slipped or got shampoo in her eyes, but instead she was just standing there staring at something in her hand with the weirdest expression on her face.

Sitting on the wet tissue was this tiny brown thing, about 1 cm long, that had apparently fallen straight out of her hair while she was shampooing. At first glance it honestly looked horrifying. We both immediately thought:

some kind of bug,
a parasite,
or maybe even something alive.
